Integrated MSc-PhD at  School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), NISER

    The School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS), NISER, invites online applications from motivated Indian undergraduate students for admission to the Integrated MSc-PhD Program in Mathematical Sciences.

     The School of Mathematics is an institution that is striving to be recognized as a Center of Excellence in science education and research in basic sciences. It was founded as a core department of the NISER along with other three Schools from the very beginning of NISER in 2007. The School of Mathematics aims to possess a vibrant academic and research ambience for faculties, students, and visitors.

•  Integrated MSc-PhD Program in Mathematical Sciences.

Eligibility

• Candidates with a Bachelor's or an equivalent degree from a University or Institution recognized by UGC with a minimum of 55% in aggregate or its equivalent GPA. 
• Candidates who are appearing for their Final Examination for Bachelor’s Degree can also apply 
• Candidates have to qualify in one of the following examinations: JAM 2022, NBHM Master’s/Ph.D. Scholarship written examination (a copy of the call letter from NBHM to appear for the Interview has to be produced). 

Selection process

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test followed by an interview at NISER.
• All candidates called for test/Interview will be paid to-and-fro single second sleeper class railway or bus fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to the Institute. They have to produce evidence (railway/bus ticket), a copy of their call letter and bank details in support of their claim.
