Master of Applied Epidemiology (MAE)- Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Programme

 

    Applications are invited for The India Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) training Programme  (2-year) in applied epidemiology-based at the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Delhi. Participants in the India EIS training programme now have the opportunity to earn a Master in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) degree from the H.N.B. Medical Education University, Uttarakhand. 

 

The National Centre for Disease Control was founded in July 1963 for research in epidemiology and control of communicable diseases and to reorganize the activities of the Malaria Institute of India. It has nine branches at Alwar, Bengaluru, Trivandrum, Calicut, Coonoor, Jagdalpur, Patna, Rajahmundry and Varanasi to advise the respective state governments on public health. The headquarters are in Sham Nath Marg, in New Delhi.

 Eligibility

 

  • Applications should have MD (Public Health/Preventive and Social Medicine/Community Medicine) OR MD (Clinical or Para-Clinical) with 2 years experience (service) OR MBBS with Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical, Para-clinical, or Public Health with 3 years of public health experience from any recognized institution OR MBBS from any recognized institution with five years minimum work experience in public health
  •  The upper age limit is  45 years

Selection 

  • The Admission will be based on  the  merit
  • Written test/screening test might be conducted if required for shortlisting candidates at the discretion of the HNB Uttarakhand Medical Education University and NCDC, Delhi.
