National Testing Agency (NTA) – Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December 2023

Introduction:

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination in December 2023. The examination aims to assess the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor in Science and related subjects at Indian Universities and Colleges. This will be a Computer-Based Test.

Important Dates:

• Last date for online registration: November 30, 2023
• Examination dates: December 26, 27, 28, 2023

Test Papers:

The examination will cover the following subjects:

• Chemical Sciences
• Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
• Life Sciences
• Mathematical Sciences
• Physical Sciences

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree or equivalent, Integrated BS-MS/4-year BE or B.Tech, MBBS, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks.

Fellowship Amount:

• JRF: INR 37,000 per year for the first two years
• From the third year onwards: INR 42,000 per year
