The Indian Institute for Technology Hyderabad (IITH) has announced admissions for its full-time Masters in Development Studies programme for the academic term 2023-2025. The programme, which is for a duration of two years, aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to address the complex challenges of development in contemporary societies.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor's degree to be eligible for the programme. Shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a written test and interview conducted by the Department of Liberal Arts. Those who are yet to appear for their qualifying degree examinations can also apply, provided they complete all requirements for their degrees by the time of registration.
Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the programme. The Institute will only call a limited number of candidates based on qualification and suitability.
The M.A. Programme spans four semesters or 24 months. Selected candidates must complete coursework, a summer internship and write a dissertation.
