The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is launching a special initiative for school children called "Young Scientist Programme" or "YUva VIgyani KAryakram" (YUVIKA). This program aims to introduce young students to the exciting world of space technology, science, and applications.
YUVIKA is designed to provide basic knowledge about space technology and science to school students. Through this program, ISRO hopes to inspire the future generation and ignite their interest in space science and technology.
ISRO believes in "catching them young" – starting early to nurture young minds and encourage their interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). YUVIKA aims to spark curiosity among students and motivate them to explore STEM-based research and careers.
Participants in YUVIKA will learn about emerging trends in space science and technology through interactive sessions and engaging activities. The program is a stepping stone for young students to discover their passion for space exploration and contribute to India's scientific endeavors.
Programme Duration: 2 weeks
Note: There are no registration or programme fees for YUVIKA-2024.
