Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR) offers a prestigious two-year Master of Science (M.Sc) in Economics program, commencing from August 2024. IGIDR is a distinguished research institute, established and fully funded by the Reserve Bank of India, dedicated to conducting research on development issues from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
To be eligible for admission to the M.Sc Economics program at IGIDR, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Mathematics Requirement: Applicants must have studied Mathematics at the higher secondary level.
Qualifying Marks: Candidates should have the qualifying percentage of marks or its equivalent in the qualifying degrees as specified below:
For BA/BSc Economics: 55% for General (GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL) category and 50% for SC/ST/PwD.
For BCom/BStat/BSc (Physics/Mathematics)/BTech/BE: 60% for General (GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL) category and 55% for SC/ST/PwD.
The selection of candidates for the M.Sc Economics program at IGIDR will be based on their performance in the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET-PG) and interview followed by it.
