Audio engineering

  Sound Engineering is one of the branches of the engineering discipline which deals with the study of music, movies, and theatre in recording, manipulation, mixing, and reproduction. This field is challenging but at the same time rewarding as well. Sound Engineers develop a high-quality recording of music, speech, and sound effects in studios. They use technical instruments to produce sound for film, radio, television. They usually arrive at the concert site before the performers and are involved in unloading and setting up the equipment and instruments along with the road crew.

  • Follow instructions and details from directors, producers, etc
  • Set up and test sound equipment before events, broadcasts, or recordings Record, edit and mix audio tracks (instruments, vocals, etc.)
  • Enhance the sound quality and add sound effects to recordings
  • Work with video editors to synchronize video with audio tracks
  • Play backing tracks and special effects during live events
  • Collaborate with lighting, camera, and other people
  • Create and maintain sound libraries
  • Resolve technical issues when they arise
