Admission Notification for M.Sc. Nursing Program – 2024

 

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, invites applications for admission to the Master of Science (M.Sc.) Nursing program offered by various government and self-financing nursing colleges in Kerala for the academic year 2024-2025.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be Registered Nurses (RN) with a B.Sc. Nursing degree obtained from a university recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
  • Applicants must have completed the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing program through regular study. (Distance education degrees are not eligible.)
  • Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) communities are eligible for reservation benefits.
  • Applicants must be residents of Kerala or have resided in Kerala for a minimum of five years.

Entrance Exam:

  • All applicants, including those from the service quota, must appear for a computer-based objective type entrance exam.
  • The exam duration is two hours. Exam centers will be located in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode.
  • The syllabus, exam pattern, and date will be announced later in the prospectus.

Important Dates:

  • Last date to submit online application: July 26, 2024 (11:30 PM)

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be based on the entrance exam score and marks obtained in the qualifying B.Sc. Nursing degree (minimum 55% for General and SC/ST candidates, 50% for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)).

Fees:

  • The annual tuition fee is ₹32,410 for government colleges and ₹1 lakh for private self-financing colleges. Additional fees may apply.
  • Seat allotment to colleges will be done by the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, Universities, and Government as per affiliation rules.
