Admissions Open for Bachelor of Design (BDes) Programs through UCEED 2024

The prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur invite applications for their Bachelor of Design (BDes) programs. BDes is a 4-year course designed for individuals with a passion for design. This program offers a plethora of specializations and opens doors to pursuing a Master's in Designing (MDes) for those who complete it.

Important Dates:

• Start Date for Online Registration: October 3, 2023, 01:00 PM
• Last Date for Online Registration with Regular Fee: October 31, 2023
• Last Date for Online Registration with Late Fee: November 8, 2023
• Start Date for Admit Card Downloading: January 5, 2024, 01:00 PM
• Last Date for Rectification of Discrepancies in Admit Card: January 11, 2024, 05:00 PM
• UCEED 2024 Exam Date: January 21, 2024 (Sunday) from 09:00 AM to 12:00 noon

Eligibility Criteria for BDes Admission:

To be eligible for admission to the BDes programs at the participating institutes, candidates must satisfy the following criteria simultaneously:

Criterion 1 – Age Limit:

• For OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category: The candidate's birth date should be on or after October 1, 1999.
• For SC, ST, or PwD category: The candidate's birth date should be on or after October 1, 1994.

Criterion 2 – UCEED Qualification:

• Candidates must have qualified and obtained a rank in UCEED 2024.

Criterion 3 – Qualifying Examination:

• Candidates should have passed all five subjects in the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2023 or 2024. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2022 or earlier are not eligible.

Stream-specific Eligibility:

• Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects are eligible to apply to all five participating institutes (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur).
• Candidates from any other stream (Science without Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIT Hyderabad.
