Admission Notice: M.Sc. Public Health Entomology

 The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is offering a two-year Post-Graduate course in Public Health Entomology (M.Sc., PHE). This program is conducted in collaboration with Pondicherry University, Puducherry. Here are the details you need to know:

2. ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh (ICMR-RMRCGKP)
3. ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tribal Health, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh (ICMR-NIRTH)
4. ICMR-Regional Medical Research Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, Bihar (ICMR-RMRIMS)
5. ICMR-Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry (ICMR-VCRC)

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates seeking admission to the M.Sc. Public Health Entomology program must meet the following eligibility criteria:

• Passed one of the following examinations from any University accepted by the Academic Council of Pondicherry University, Puducherry:
  • B.Sc. in the discipline of Zoology/Botany/Life Sciences/Medical Laboratory Technology/Microbiology/Ecology/Environmental Science/Biochemistry/Agriculture
  • B.V.Sc. or M.B.B.S.
  • B.E./B.Tech. degree with Biotechnology as one of the subjects

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET). The CET is a two-hour duration test conducted in the cities where the ICMR institutes mentioned above are located. Key details about the CET:

• No negative marking
• The minimum/cut-off mark required to qualify is 35%

Stipend:

Candidates who are selected for the M.Sc. Public Health Entomology program will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/-
