Admission Notification: National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities

The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (NILD) has released the admission notification for its Bachelor's degree courses in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Prosthetics and Orthotics. Interested candidates can apply for the courses at any of the four NILD campuses across India.

Courses Offered

1. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)
2. Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT)
3. Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BPO)

Application Fees

The application fee for the NILD admission process is Rs. 1000. However, students belonging to reserved categories need to pay only Rs. 800.

Important Dates

The last date for submitting the application is 12 June 2023. The NILD entrance examination will be conducted on 9th July 2023, and the results will be declared on 17th July 2023.

NILD Campuses

The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities has four campuses in India, which are:

1. NILD Kolkata
2. National Institute of Training and Research Cuttack
3. National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities Chennai
4. National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the NILD Bachelor's courses, candidates must be a minimum of 17 years old. There is no upper age limit for the courses. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with an aggregate of at least 50% marks. For the BPO course, candidates must also have studied Mathematics and Biology.
