The Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training (CIFNET) under the Central Department of Fisheries is conducting the Bachelor of Fisheries Science (Nautical Science) degree program in Kochi. The four-year program, which is affiliated with the Cochin University of Science and Technology, also includes practical training in offshore fishing vessels.
Must have passed Plus Two with a total of 50% marks in three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology. Must have 50% marks in English in 10th or 12th.Those who have appeared for the qualifying examination can also apply
The Common Entrance Test (CET) as part of the examination will be conducted at Kochi, Chennai and Visakhapatnam. There will be objective-type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English Language. For the correct answer, a mark will be given. If the answer is wrong, the callers will lose.

After completing the course, you can become a Licensed Nautical Officer / Driver on a fishing boat or vessel.
