Applications are invited for the KVPY Examination which offers a monthly grant of Rs. 5000, and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/ - for students who wish to pursue a basic science degree.
In addition to the scholarship amount, the scholarship winners will have the opportunity to gain admission to top institutes in the country such as IISER and to participate in various national camps.

Who can apply?

The exam is conducted in three streams.

1. Stream SA:

Those who pass the SSLC exam this time can apply in this stream.

Only those who join Science +1 in the year 2020-21 will be included in the Provisional selection list.

The scholarship will be active only after gaining BSc / Integrated MSc admission in 2023 - 24.

2. Stream SX:

Opportunity in this stream is for students who have now completed +1 and are studying for +2.
Scholarship will be active only after getting 60% marks in +2 and getting admission for BSc / Integrated MSc in 2021 - 22.

3. Stream SB:

This stream is for students joining BSc / Integrated MSc subjects this year. Scholarship will be active if 60% marks are obtained in the first year examination.

Stream SA will have questions from SSLC level and SX and SB (same question paper for both) from +2 level from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

The online application process is in three stages:

1. Registration: Register with your mobile number and e-mail id.
2. Fill in the academic information and upload the photo.
3. Pay the fee and complete the registration.
